Wut? More like 2 280's are the same as 2 4870x2's and 3 280's destroys the 4870x2's. He could have had 3 280's for the price of 2 4870x's. Almost anyways.

Quad SLI and quad CF have never worked properly, so I am just confused about the decision. He's not alone in it either.

I would have gotten a different mobo if I went ATI obviously.

I'd like to challenge you when you get your 4870's. Me and my lowly Q6600.

To pass 4870x2 in cfx you will need to get another gtx280
this is stock clock speeds for the 4870x2 cfx vs an overclock gtx 280 sli
