MMORPG for 2 - Page 2

I'm actually surprised to see people supporting Runescape here. I'm an old SWG vet and I've been playing my old RS account while I await Darkfall and I'm quite impressed with what they've done with it. I'm disappointed they never made a real client for it, but what they have accomplished with java is outstanding. Looking past the simplicity, the game is actually quite good. I just love sandbox games though, I hate being tied down to a certain class and told how to play.

My character is: tw3aked

Good luck in your search my friend.

yeah i had loads of fun in RS..just started WoW a few days ago and am ready to quit. RS is very appealing to me in its kind of retroness and how it gives players more freedom than other mmo's

its really sad logging onto an MMO and seeing that all your friends are now gone...all the people you spent long hours with

I haven't found many games that interest me like old school SWG and Runescape. My only hope at the moment is Darkfall, and if it fails to deliver what I'm looking for then it's back to RS. Also been testing the SWGEmu here and there, but that's still in alpha.

Darkfall

Just read the first few paragraphs and see if that sounds like something you would be into.... I personally can't wait if they can deliver!

Then the two of us played Wow for about a year and quit before the WOTLK.

We had a pretty good time at wow and are considering playing that again but I wondered if anything else that was out was worth a shot or if anyone thought anything amazing was about to come out and worth waiting for?

Thanks.
I gotta say I'm surprised to see another MMO thread and not see City of Heroes/City of Villains mentioned. I have been playing this game for almost 4 years now, and it still continues to impress me. I started playing it with my then girlfriend, and duoing was awesome. There are so many powerset combinations that you can really make quite a formidable team with just two characters.

They have even recently added a new feature called a "Leveling Pact" where two characters created by different accounts, and at the same time can be linked together so that even if one person doesn't play as much, both characters will always be the same level. I have yet to try this out, but sounds pretty sweet.

Also in an upcoming Issue (the updates and new content to the game are called Issues) they are implementing a mission creator where there are supposed to be a lot of options, including being able to have other player run missions that you have created, and rate them.

Anyway, I'm done being a fanboi, but definitely check it out. There is a 14 day free trial...tho some things are limited with the trial...

Forget all this junk!

For DUO players, Warhammer Online wins.

Warhammer Classes are perfect for players who will Duo with they're Wife / GF as each character compliments the other in very specific way's.

If you are Looking for PvE, Story and Lore, then Warhammer is perfect.
If you are Looking for PvP, Replayability, further developing skill's and lots of Action

Warhammer Online is perfect!

My Sig rig runs every aspect of the game perfectly, though some specific settings, in game and in control panel are neccesary for RvR performance on my ageing rig.

Me and a Friend of Mine Duo in low levels currently (I have a few characters for different times)

The game is also designed in a way that allows you to have fun with the game! Personal Quest's help drive the Story line and Immerse you into the World - and give usefull rewards and exp. Public Quest's help bring other players together to help Beat 3 and 4 stage Quest's in a particular area (each zone usually has 3 or 4 PQ's) where you get special rewards for finishing the the PQ and you also gainwhat is called Influence, special Bonus item's you can gain per each "Chapter" of the game. These are excellent ways to gain gear and Levels and they are in my opinion always fun and challenging.

personally, I choose to do all of my leveling in the RvR Areas, Keep sieging and Battlefield Objectives in my opinion are the best way to gain experience, Renown Rank (points to add bonus stats you get from RvR).

As an added bonus, they also give Influence reward for RvR gear in each Tier and Realm (Chaos/Humans, Elves, Dwarves/greenskins) and for each RvR Tier (1-11 = T1, 11-21 = T2, 21-31 = T3, 31-40 = T4) You get item rewards for Taking over Area Keeps, and can Gain Renown Points and Influence from Killing Players and doing the Battlefield objectives.

They also introduce for people who wish to level fast with Quest's and PQ's but still liek to PvP without doing Keep Sieging, they have he ability to Sign up for RvR Scenario's.
Most of which will be set areas of Instanced fighting, with a Goal in mind. Liek capture the flag and variation's of that. They have many different areas for the scenario's so they never really get dull =) And of course you get high experience and RP Rewards for winning the scenarios.

Overall, i have never needed to grind on a Mob, (unless I was looking for specific Item drops) and have never been bored.

I play on Iron Rock Server, Destruction Side (Orcs and Dark Elves Looks awesome!)
Part of a Large and VERY organized Guild, with a very organized RvR Alliance. If anyone from OCN Ever wants to get into this game, I know just about every little aspect and trick to each of the Destruction Classes.
my guild site Sinister Swarm

And the best Duo team in this game (depending on play style) is the Disciple of Kain (Melee DPS Hybrid Healer) and Witch Elf (high DPS+ Stealth)

The two of them can shread people, but must pay attention as the right combination of enemy's will take you down =)~

(this was quite a wright up! Feel free to ask me for more details!)
