I love that Linux is a free OS... the more I think about it, the more expensive $100 is for windows. Too bad they don't port more games to linux, otherwise I'd be using it all day long...

$100 is nothing when $60 buys you a 360 or PS3 game.

Every time I try Linux I get disappointed. I recently tried to put DSL (Damn Small Linux) on my flash drive to boot into. It booted up fine, but as soon is the OS loaded my usb keyboard and usb mouse wouldn't work, yet they worked fine at the boot menu.

Why are such small things like getting a keyboard to work such heart-aches in Linux?

Maybe I just have bad luck..., the last time I tried Ubuntu it took command line effort for it to recognize my second hard-drive and it royally screwed up my MBR (master boot record), whenever I uninstalled it and went back to just XP.

really just sounds unfortunate. I'm currently giving Ubuntu a shot [posting this in it as a matter of fact] and I really like how you have to get your hands dirty to get things to work. makes me feel like I'm in control.

But its understandable as to why DSL might be buggy, as it DOES fit on a flash drive. Personally, the only reason I still use Vista is because I'm still getting the hang of linux. I whenever I get a tad frustrated or just dont feel like dealing with something, I just boot into Vista and rape face in TF2 or whatever.

Well exactly... That's a game I could have bought or whatever.

I can't even remember the last time I bought software... Not that I pirate; I just find everything I need in the form of open source software and freeware.
