480 GTX or PA120.3 - Page 2

Ok well I again have jumped ship on the i7 build because I went over my funds and I just can't rationalize a Core i7 build, especially with the new Phenom II teasers going around. Looks like I might just save money and go with the 940 BE Phenom II and still stick with the 1 GB 4870 on water.

To everyone with their fans on a controller, thats awesome but I pretty much just want to plug 'em in and let 'em rip instead of putting a controller in my case. Honestly it's just laziness but whatever. I am looking into Scythes though, so what would be the best fan at low dBa and around 45-55 cfm? I still like the noctuas, but they are pretty expensive compared to Scythe which are lower cfm, a little quieter and less than half the price.

So it looks like I'm staying with my XChanger 240 and leaving it cooling my CPU only. With Noctua Fans running on the outside of the case, I expect better deltas. Anyway, I'm going with two IceQ4+ HIS 4870 1 GB cards in CFX air cooled.

I'm excited and will post pics. Only thing that I really need to wait for before ordering everything is the Phenom II!
