Does anyone hear have any experience overclocking one of these? Any suggestions on how far I can take one of these. The board I am using and cooler I am using is the same one on my sig,

you will be limited by the mobo. you might get around 2.5-2.7 with it.

yeah I am starting to realize that 2.5 is as far as I am willing to go @ 2.5 it stays at around 45c in Idle.

Hugosamd, it's really hard to say. Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to overclocking. The best way to find out is to just start pushing the processor. Are you running into any difficulties right now? If you want to, include some CPU-Z screen shots and perhaps maybe we can point you in the right direction. Here is also a link to some helpful Phenom overclocking guides and articles: http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/36...es-thread.html.

Good luck

Hugosamd, not to shabby

As long as you're stable at the current overclock then I wouldn't worry. I always try and see how far I can my processor overclock on stock voltage.

Keep it up, good luck!

my 8450 runs at ~1.31 at 2.6

i have the HT running at 2300.
i don't think there is a need to run it that low.
i have it at 251x10.5, you might want to try it.

yeah, I got mine to 2.6 (226x11.5) stable today messing with it little by little. I bought and installed a new antec 120mm fan for the side panel of my 900 so I have air blowing straight down on the processor now, my current temps @ 2.6 are 36c Idle

nice idle temps, now raise that HT up and tell me what the load temps are. also check for stability.
good job though
