Shaved some voltage off the core, got the temp down a bit.

Temps look even better now.

Idle:

Stress:

I tried the hole downclocking the HT. Can't say it done much, just can't seem to get it past what it is at just now. On air anyway.

Yeah would like to see it in water myself could be interesting. But 2.84GHz is as much as I can get out of it on air, Being stable. Not a bad CPU

No probs keep us updated on how you do, Been reading around some guy got this on 2.9Ghz on air. Herd some chips overclock better than others though, maybe he was lucky to get a good chip.

DaveC1337, in most cases a certain stepping will have a higher average overclock but even that sometimes isn't guaranteed. So many factors are involved. A lot of it can also depend on the motherboard. It's the luck of draw I guess

Good luck

Just received one of these todays, the case hasn't arrived yet so it's just set up on the back of my desk. Playing around with OC a bit, this seems to be as hot as it'll get at this clock for me.

This is with a cheapo 70 dollar motherboard too, may have to try pushing it a tiny bit further tomorrow and see what happens.
