Absolutely gorgeous! You're one of those people who actually puts love into their PC. I wouldn't have a fraction of the patience it takes to literally sleeve every wire. Looking forward to seeing the finished product *subbed*.

Hey, thank you for the comments gentlemen. I need the ups right about now.

Ever heard the phrase "measure twice, cut once"?

Yeah. I screwed up lol.

At one point I was thinking about making the perforated opening smaller than I settled on, but somehow, I forgot to take that into account when I laid it out on the panel. It's a half inch too far back, and a half inch too high.

Well schucks. I guess I can stare at it for a while and decide if I really like the look. Like it well enough to do that all over again.

I think it might be time for plan B.

I'm not sure I understand Shiryu.

Plan B was always to cut out the "mesh" if I didn't like the way it came out, and just have an opening that I could place some mesh behind. Standard modder fair. I bolo'd that one though when I put these holes in the wrong place. So, I guess its new side panel time.

Oh well. More raw material from the rest of the side panel I screwed up I guess.

hmm.. i kinda like the mesh. i would keep it.

on another note... i thought you power/reset switches were white? how come they are red in the pic? or did you get some orange ones to match the tubing?

I already destroyed the panel in that pic trying to sort out a solution

on the other note, yeah. I swapped em for orange.

Good eye.

Well, I began execution of plan B on the off side panel. My plan is to set in black mesh behind this hole I cut, with a frame of orange flourescent acrylic. I'll light the acrylic with white LED's ala the fans, but keep it switched so it can remain subtle when I'm not feeling the bling. The acrylic needed is on order from Delvies. Hopefully they ship it to the correct address this time.

It's a beautiful day here, so I lugged the rig outside to snap some pics.

Here's the hole I cut this morning; from the front:

and from the back:

Here's the final solution behind that panel:

The panel slides on easy as pie, with no bulges.

Here's a couple angles of the business side:

And some random close ups of the hardware:

That's all for a bit folks. Waitin on parts now.
