Good luck try not to keep it at 1.7v forever *Jake*

Oh I know. 3.6GHz would be a 24/7 OC if I can reach that. If I hit 3.8GHz+, it will just be temporary for the kicks.

and Thanks!

Slappa is the problem heat or will it just not post for you above 3.4? I believe my heat capped out at 67 or 69 degrees when the max you can hit is really 72.

Just wondering if I should applaud my xigmatek or not, I've not got anything lapped but the directpipe cooling and the arctic silver are doing a decent job I suppose. Again, my v is at 1.488 or 1.5 depending.

(EDIT)
Should mention that the 69 degree post was in june in a southeast summer, in the hottest room in the house (we run air but it's a small room w/ 2 computers running, 2 old hot monitors, an old hot tv, and me). i'd feel a bit uncomfortable having my proc 3 degrees away from crit otherwise

It's a combination of heat and voltage. I think Jake was able to do it because he was in a room with 10C. So he could keep the heat relatively low, and be able to pump more voltages. I'm pretty sure you will max around 3.6-3.7ghz on air with normal 70F room temp, with about 1.5-16v.

I miss suicide runs (My clr CMOS switch is located behind my 4850's humungous cooler, and I hate taking it out)

I really want to put some insane volts through my chip now I have a better CPU cooler.
