Attach this to my sound card?

Thread Starter
Can I attach something like this to my sound card?

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_236MB21...s-Package.html

For example, use a two-way 3.5mm splitter from my sound card, connect one end to my Z-5500s and the other end to the amp of the linked system?

Or even three way 3.5mm splitter with two ends going to two of those systems and other end going to Z-5500?

Or even four... or.. nvm.

Anyway can it be done? lol

Thanks

I suppose it would work. What are the plugs on there? You're probably going to need an RCA adapter.

Probably something like this: http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

I didnt read the specs on your setup too much, or at all (just looked at pic) BUT here is what is possible:

EVERYTHING. IF your amp has compsite inputs. You would use a 3.5mm to composite stereo splitter, then to your composite inputs as usual.. instead of a deck, you are using your pc. nothing special here.

for the power supply for the car audio amp... get a BIG PC power supply. Open it up.. remove all the +12v wires on the PSU board OR find a way to solder a large wire to the bottom where all the wires connect. For this, you would definitly want a single rail PSU at at least 600w. Dont forget that fuse on the +12v wire to the amp.. if the PSU dies, gotta protect the expensive stufs right.

MAKE SURE TO OVERSIZE THAT WIRE OR IT MOST LIKELY WILL MELT AND/OR CATCH FIRE!!! The guage of wires included with most PSUs isnt large enough to support 600w over one line.. the wire WILL melt!!! FIRE HAZARD.

If you custom solder a larger guage wire, problem solved.
