Yeah thats what I was saying not golden at all, I see 6.5 on these chips, on water but still 4.8 or higher should be attainable on the norm I would hope lol.

6.5 with LN2 perhaps.....with an E8600 personally I would be disappointed with anything less than about 4.6ghz. My last one did 4.72ghz 1.42V stable.

Try these:

Well those settings didnt work, failed immediately, u lowered the NB and the FSB term alot, but I bumped back up to 1.4 on both and still fail at 460 fsb, pissing me off, someone please, got to get highhhheeeer CAUSE yeah u look up top overclocks on the E8600 there gettting to 6ghz and higher on water so 4.7 plus on air should be very very attainable.

your FSB termination was much too high, that's why I lowered it. And my P5Q Deluxe does 500FSB with 4x1gb dimms with only 1.24V....the p5qc should only need 1.22-1.26 for 450FSB.

Also I would not expect 4.7ghz on air....no one is getting 6ghz on water...I'm on water and can barely enter windows at 5ghz.... I think your expectations for a little zerotherm cooler are much too high.

Well they made it to freaking 6.7ghz on Liquid Nitro, and over 5ghz on air, so water has to be in 6s. And guys are easily hitting 10 times 450 with 1.3v core, so what the hell. I have the EO stepping, the vid is low, I should be able to go over 4.5ghz easily I have to think its my settings holding me back, or board, or PSU or something, just not sure what it is. 4.5 I am 100 percent stable, I do see the 6.7ghz is on 1.6 v core lol, so Im not trying to get there, but I have room as far as temps go with my little zerotherm, the zero has great ratings at full speed for cooling so its a pretty damn good cooler, and if its 30s idle and barely hitting 60 full load, then I got some room on temps, just need to know the right settings to push, or if somethings holding me back like the 550 watt PSU, or board or something.

well i think you have hit the maximum for your chip unless you want to start going crazy with the voltages....

I would not really go more than about 1.45 though for 24/7..I try to stay between 1.4-1.43

Yeah that kinda stinks lol, See freaking over at VR-ZONE dude hit 620 fsb on air and a guy it 5 on air at 1.48v FSB 540, and 635 fsb on 1.4, god I JUST WANT 460 to 470 lol. Guess I will give up and be happy at 4.5ghz, it is the fastest chip I have had, MY e8400 and E8500 would not go over 4.2ghz stable, and the Q6600 was at 3.6ghz, should have kept that one that was an amazing overclock to me but thought for sure the E8600 with 10 multi would smash it.

But not every E8600 E0 (E zero, not E "o") chip is the same. For example, it could be your combination of parts holding you back. Or it could be just one part. Either way, you're getting 4.5GHz stable! Keep in mind that you have a 1.2GHz overclock, bro! Somebody may come along with an E8600 E0 who can't even get 4.5GHz.

My E8400 doesn't like anything over a 1.2GHz increase, so I leave it at 4.0GHz because 4.0GHz is extremely fast for today's software.

Yeah im not too mad at it lol, but that was my point, I was trying to get some help and advice maybe on best bios settings to try to get stable and if not find out what might be holding me back, to board, PSU etc, so that I could change that out maybe and get higher, of course no two chips are the same, but E0 lol, with low vid you would hope u could get higher. 4.5ghz is sweet I guess, like I said the fastest I have ever had so far to date.

I know you got to start out at 3.3GHz, but I can't help myself: I am jealous of your 4.5GHz over my 4.0GHz. But I'm at 1.30v.
