Is my 8800 Ultra worth being changed for a new GTX 295? - Page 2

8800Ultra's are a great card they are on par with the new Budget Gangster of the graphics world the AMD HD4850

The Ultra is still a very powerful card, id love to own one just for the sake of owning such a crazy card. But yea if its not performing well enough for you id buy a better card but personally id hold onto it for a while.

The ultra is a hell of a card. Like others have said I would keep it and wait and see what new cards nvidia and ati come up with.

Your card is pretty sweet. Unless it is not doing it's part for you or not meeting your needs just keep it until it is not maxing your games out anymore.

List of Cards above the 8800Ultra

HD4850
9800GTX+
260GTX
HD4870
9800GX2
280GTX
HD4850X2
HD4870X2

Take your pick if you want to upgrade so badly

The HD4850 & 9800GTX+ are on par with the Ultra so hardly any increase
you'll need to upgrade to a 260GTX or HD4870 minimum before you notice an increase in games

I say wait for the next generation of graphics cards, and enjoy a larger jump in performance.

If there is nothing wrong with the card keep it.

It's still a beast
