I love my P5Q-PRO

Thread Starter
Just been having a play around with the new board, and oh my! This is an upgrade from a busted 965p-ds3.

I know this board is supposed to be a good clocker but.....just never worked for me. Seamed to have mind of its own, different bios, settings, anything. Just couldnt get it to hold.

Now I have just managed to pump my measly e6300 up to 3.3 Luv it. Best part, easy as pie!! Few adjustments and we're away.

Anywho. just wanted to say how pleased I am with this great board.

Oh added this http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=468008

Happy for you, how much voltage are you running for 3.3

Yep they're great. Unfortunately the first one I bought was DOA and the store I bought from gave me a P5Q-E
Fair trade!

Got it at 1.3625, think thats what it was. Got it running at 47c idle, havent given it a stability test longer than an hour (orthos) temps hit 55-57, it is high, but im happy at under 60. Upgrading soonish.

This is on a Zalman 9500led.

In general I've had a lot of success with the P5Q series as well, while I was able to get my DFI boards to clock higher, these boards overclock without any fuss at all (I think I had to clear the CMOS once between 3 boards).

Oh and those E6300's are some fun chips to play around with. They have a low multi, but still overclock like a champ.

Ram is holding me back tho. Tried running at 1000mhz but crashed loading windows. With some good 1066, I think I can hit 500FSB.

Think I have some Corsair Xms2 800 around, anyone know if this is capable at running a 1000mhz.

It's freaking awesome motherboard, best I've ever had. It can handle ultimate overclocks and it's very fast and great for gaming.
