Asus P5Q Pro - update BIOS!

Thread Starter
Hey all,

I'd like to update my BIOS to the latest version right now, but I'm not sure how to do it with my new motherboard, is it a long and hard progress?

If you have a USB thumbdrive it's really easy. Preferably reset bios to defaults before flashing.

1. Download the new bios.
2. Put it on a FAT32 formatted USB thumbdrive.
3. Go into the bios and select EZflash (one of the last tabs).
4. Flash bios and reboot.

USB thumbdrive = USB key.

You can find the latest bios on Asus.com, go in download section and select socket 775 board > P5Q Pro

I found it and the latest version should be 1613, right? I'm downloading it, so what I need to do next.

You don't have a 1GB USB drive or something? They can be found extremely cheap, and it's nice for bios flashing. You could probably get one at a local store for a few bucks.

Not really, because never needed. I don't need to hurry with that BIOS update, so, I'll buy one sometime.
