My 5600+ X2 @ 3.5ghz

Thread Starter
So far soo good...Vcore is actually 1.556

Just run OCCT for 2hrs, gonna let it run orthos blend 9 now and come back in a hour or so and see if its passt its OK

Oh is 1.556 Vcore ok on this chip?? Its less likely to be affected by electron migration because its 'lanes' are bigger then a normal chip because its a 90nm process so it should be able to handle a higher vcore, it should be ok on water shouldnt it?

Whats the highest a 5600 X2 has gone in terms of OC??

why are you doing stress tests for 1 hour

you need longer stress testing then that
my cpu will stay at 3.5ghz stable for more than an hour on air
but after a couple it just cant take it

I did a stress test and after about 5 hours it recognized a problem

so unless ur just doing basic quick tests to see if ur cpu will handle it temperarly, I suggest doing it longer

and why do you have 3 crysis icons

the first crysis has 32bit and 64bit mode (2 of the shortcuts)
and crysis warhead has only 32bit mode

edit: ...... 2 shortcuts of warhead? im lost

Dam..very nice oc, especially for a 90nm chip, youve got a golden chip there.

I'd like to see the temps on that one tho
OC'ing isen't hard, reaching a stable & cool OC is where the difficutly kicks in.

Anyway, if it's stable and has nice temps that you sure as hell deserve credit.

I think 3.5 with just air is actually amazingly high on those chips
