Pentium 3 @ 500-550 MHZ - ASUS Board - Overclocking Help?? - Page 2

ok heres the scoop.. switches 1-4 are front side bus speeds from 33.4 to 37.5
Switch 6 enables AGP.switches 7-10 are Multipliers.

The handbook recommends for a P3 600 to be jumpered like this

There is a jumper free JUMPER that has to be activated for overclocking to be available on this board. It looks like a 3 pronged CMOS reset at the bottom of the board and 1 and 2 need to be connected to enable overclocking

I got a new problem....

HOW DO I LOCK THE PCI FREQUENCY SO THAT I CAN STILL OVERCLOCK THE PROCESSOR AND NOW HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE PCI FREQUENCY
???

Just get a new one, even "computer for schools" ships p4s by now.

ASUS P38-F Rev: 1.03

Pentium lll Processor @ 500 - 550 MHz

The processor is equipped with a CoolMaster cooling system & the entire comp tower is always runs at maximum COOLDNESS....

I want to overclock this thing and i checked EVERY selection & mutiplier thing in the Bios and there is nothing that lets me change the processor speed in the Bios...

The Bios simply ses Processor: 500 MHz

..and thats it for advanced setup....

The board though has a blue switch pannel on it with 10 white switches...

How do i overclock this thing???? PROCESSOR

Hi,

I am basically doing this for fun

this is an extra computwer that I can spare to break if i accidently do...

I just feel like seeing wat this thing can do with overclocking and seeing how far I can get it while just keeping it stable...

But i hit a problem...

How do i unlock the bus frequency mutiplier in this thing cuz the processor itself has locked it....how do i unlock it on the processor level...

there's gotta be a jumper on it or something...??

if not I'll find a way around it....but for now I am gona keep messing with it and makin it faster....
