Repair broken AVI's? - Page 2

Wow, With a name like yours you would think you could handle something like this.

Google "Fix AVI file".

IIRC I used to use avisynch to fix and AVIpreview to watch broken frames.

Nah, not needed. It's probably not broken, but the index is missing.
Get Virtualdub (not Virtualdubmod)... it'll load it (might take a while because it has to construct the index).

Make sure Video is set to Direct stream copy and Audio is set to Source audio then File -> Save as AVI and voila.

Very funny. I'm sorry if my ultra leet haxor skillz don't include fixing AVIs. I just haven't had to fix a broken AVI before, whenever I've had one that was broken, I just re-downloaded it. Unfortunately that's not possible ATM.

I'm trying something now, I'll post back my results.

Well, it looks like there's something more wrong with the file. VirtualDub fixed so that it'd play, but it cut the file in about half. I'll just have to wait untill I go back to school to re-DL it. Oh well, thanks for the help anyway guys.

+REP to both of you for the help (even if one of you doubts my l33t haxor skillz )
