Help choosing memory

im pretty new to the whole building pc's scene let alone the i7 but im going to try for an i7 build im thinking of going with either the asus rampage II extreme or the evga x58 i want it to be a beast gaming pc but have no idea what kind of ram and how much to throw into it any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks

Here is a list I like the dominators and patriot vipers.

Can't go wrong with Corsair Dominators or Mushkin, that's some outstanding stuff. G.Skill and OCZ also produce some pretty good stuff. What's your budget look like for these sticks?
