Can someone learn me about socket 775? - Page 2

That Biostar is a really nice board. I've had the pleasure of overclocking with a friend on one of those, really fun. ericeod's post essentially has all the info you could need.

the E6xxx series are 65nm (conroe), the E7xxx and E8xxx are the newer 45nm (wolfdale) chips.
the Q6xxx series are 65nm (conroe), the Q8xxx and Q9xxx are the 45nm (yorkfield) quads.

The UD3P will be your best bet. It is running 671 FSB with dual cores and 515 FSB with quads. Newegg has it for $136 ($116 after MIR):

Here is a quad core at 500 FSB

Closest stable was 490x9 with the MIIF. I've only had 1 BSOD with this board and it only took an hour for the beginnings of an oustanding OC session.
This is what i call FUN! I've booted into windows at 533X8 only to get my 1 and only BSOD after 10-15 seconds.
That was with no extra voltage over what i'm running now. I'll be checking for max FSB Next.

Thanks to napalm for some bios settings.

I don't think the -UD3P is going to work for him, since he has SLI. I suggest a nice EVGA 780i mobo. Newegg has some nice combo deals on that mobo with an Intel CPU right now.

Yeah I want the 2x PCIe slots, but I was thinking of going with crossfire this time.

I did some reading about those Evga boards they seem really nice with all digital PWM and everything.... or is that on the 790i ultra?

And I dont mind paying like $40 bux extra for the Biostar board. It looks to be really solid.....Still contemplating on what to do.......... Well itll probably be another month before I start putting one of these together......Anyone looking for any AMD 939 stuff .
