2nd Person: So how many FPS can you see every second?
1st Person: Well, about 45ish sometime 50ish.

Phenom II is not only make for those with outdated AMD Cpu's to upgrade. It is made for those people who want to upgrade to something as fast as I7 for half of the price.

I should hope it does since you know it's well over double the price.

Too bad the Phenom II isn't anywhere close to i7 speeds. Keep wishing for that. Look at the guy who has one on here...he posted some benches...it's right on par with my Q6600.

Now try the same thing with Crysis or Crysis Warhead or other games that hurt. Just saying it can make the difference between playable and not. And if you're only gaming go with a dual core. MUCH better value in an E8400 for example. edit: and yeah I don't see this as comptetition to i7. I think people will have to choose between a penryn and this. Maybe even a Q6600.

I'll vouch for that. I couldn't completely kill a 90nm AMD with 1.65Volts and overly high temps. They're very durable indeed.

It doesn't matter, the i7 fanboys will still come up with some reason to justify their $1500 purchase.
First off the chip isn't $ 1500. It used to be around $ 1300 CAD but I was able to pick it up for less than $ 1200 CAD because of employee discount.

First of all, Crysis gets barely any increase from 1 core to 2, Crysis is an GPU demanding game. Anything from 2 to 3 to 4 there is not even a single difference, NOT EVEN 1 FRAME half the time.

Last time I checked, I saw a benchie where the Phenon II actually beat the i7 in crysis, lol, by about 2fps, and other shows it just 2 fps behind. So, the low end Phenon II overclocked to 3.8 and the low clocked i7, overclocked to 3.8, there is a 200 bucks difference, at least, where you get 2 fps increase, and thats only half the time

Lol, everyone who games should really only get a 8400 and overclock it to 3.8 to 4.0. That versus a q6600 at max of 3.2 - 3.6.... e8400 = win D:

Or just get the X3 Denebs. OCs like the X4s, probably generates less heat along, and again you do have another CPU core for backup.

Pricing should be similar to the high-end E8000s.

He is benching a dud chip with a pre-release bios and with no OC on the NB.

Try benching it against a shoddy OC'ed B3 Q6600 on a pre-release BIOS with a last-gen mobo and see what happens.

How do you explain the 95% of other Phenom II 3D06 benches which completely contradict his bench results... oh, that's right, you cherrypicked your numbers to support your argument.
