Problem with 4 sticks on EP45-UD3P

Thread Starter
I just bought another 2x2gb of Corsair Dominator memory. It's the same version as the 4gb already on my board. Whenever I put in all 4 sticks, I can't boot or even post. I've memtested all 4 sticks individually and they all pass. I can put any 2 of them in at the same time without problem, but I can't get all of them to run.
I upped the voltage from the recommended 2.1v to 2.2v and still no luck. I tried running everything at stock settings and then upping NB volts a bit also, but that didn't end up working either...

Does anyone have suggestions for settings?

Does anyone with this board run 4 sticks? What did you do to get them running??

So you can't even boot the board at stock?!

I have 4 sticks of RAM, and all I did was stick them in the slots.

What I want to know from YOU is, how did you get 4.25GHz stable?

Good call. I think it might be your CPU overclock my friend. Roll that back first, at least temporarily if you managed those clocks stable, unless those are not your 24/7 clocks.

I would bump the NB a little and the vdimm a little. I have to do that with my 4x2Gb G.Skill to run. They run as a 2x2Gb set at 1.45 NB (X48 chipset) with 1.8v vdimm. But with 4x2Gb I have to run 1.49v NB and 1.94v vdimm.

I am assuming you cant narrow the problem to a particular slot, You tried all possible combinations of slots? Like 2 sticks but configured in slots 1 & 4?

Did you turn off the memory "Turbo" bios setting?

Try loosening the timings.

What is your NB voltage?

If you can't run 4 sticks of the same RAM at stock, it's time to RMA.

Set tRFC to between 55-65. And dont run the voltage any higher than 2.1V The powerchips on these rarely needs higher voltage even at OCing.
These are matched pair's right? Dont mix'em up. Set one matched pair in the yellow and the other pair in red.
And youve set everything to stock right? Even the timings, voltages, MCH, ICH, FSB, Latch, System memory multiplier, CPU, everything?
Have you set the same timings for all four DIMM-slots/channel A and B?
Well, if you have i cant help ya.

*edit* OCghost has a point. Set the memory to standard.
