Cheap Birthday Build (Need Lots of Suggestions)

Hey guys. My birthday is coming up in January. Ill be 18, and i want to build a new cheap computer to experiment with Liquid Cooling and also Overclocking. Im shooting for something between the price range of 300-500$, i could spend a little more depending on if its a nice upgrade. This will be my very first time building a liquid cooled comp. Ill be taking this slow, and going step by step. Id like to ask all of you for help and suggestions. Ive done my fair share of research. Hopefully, i can get a good experience out of this. What im thinking of so far would be a cheap, good looking case with lots of neon lights/fans. Something that i could get some good overclocks on, nothing too serious but just a little practice. Here is what i've looked at so far.

Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Wolfdale 2.66GHz

Sunbeam AC-T Transparent Clear Acrylic ATX Mid Tower

Rosewill RFA-80-BL 80mm Case Fan (x5)

Samsung 320gb 7200rpm HD

Kingston 4GB (2x2gb) 800mhz ddr2 ram

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Rosewill 500W PSU

EVGA Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT

Petra'sTech CoolKit D4

Alright, im pretty sure everything is compatible. How about the GPU and MB? Will that be okay. Is everything going to be super cramped in my case? Feel free to give suggestive criticism. Im pretty much a noob when it comes to this. If your wondering bout my sig rig, i had someone in a local shop help me build it. I basicly just watched.

everyone is going to tell you to stay away from thermaltake liquid cooling products. better off with high end air than that kit. with that setup it wouldnt be temps limiting your overclock it would be your motherboard. i recommend a p45 chipset like this would be a solid overcloking budget board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128345

you could even find cheaper but thats a good deal with MIR

its more expensive but you dont want to skimp on the motherboard when overclocking. take the money from the water cooling system and put it towards that and get yourself a TRUE or other high end air cooling unless you are willing to spend atleast ~$150 for the water cooling alone. and you'll have more fun with a peiced together upgradable water cooling setup than a kit.

all else looks good though i would look at other power supplies too. a corsair 450vx or something.

Awesome, thank you very much for the feedback. I was worried about the Motherboard. But, the reason im building this system is to get some good experience with Liquid Cooling, so i would be willing to spend the extra cash. Also, i was wondering how high i could hope to OC the processor i chose.

well that kit is crap too. the kit i suggested can be filled with this coolant (mixed with distilled water [from drug store]) for a nice blue glow effect. i really recommend you buy it and not ANY newegg liquid cooling "kit."

thats a good kit and that setup should let u oc that cpu pretty high they are good oc'ers

You can make the liquid whatever color you want. The kit procpuarie linked is just about the only good preassembled kit on the market. Quite frankly, the one that you linked is a steaming pile of :turd: and will not only be inferior to air cooling, but also pose a risk to the system due to the lack of quality in the parts.
