ABIT IN9 32X Max Wi-Fi VS. IP35 Pro XE

Thread Starter
I had a IN9-32x max mobo from abit and it died about 2 weeks ago.I RMA it to Abit and the no longer have the IN9 so they said that they could send me a IP35 Pro XE and anyone tell me if this is a better board or if is is the same. Also on my dead IN9 I was using a Intel EE 3.7ghz that was Over Clocked to 4.6ghz will I be able to get to that clock speed again or maybe higher?

Well you will longer have the ability for SLI, but the IP35 Pro is damn good motherboard. I would say it's better if you don't need the SLI. You should be able to at least reach that same clock speed.

Edit: WOOT! 2k posts.

The IP35 Pro XE dose have 2 PCI-E x16. If I can not SLI how would a Nvidia 280 run on this mobo?

Yes, it does have two PCIe slots, but the only single CPU Intel chipset that officially supports SLI is X58.

I'm assuming you are referring to the GTX 280. It will run perfectly fine since it doesn't even use two PCIe slots.

Almost none. The current cards out don't even use the whole PCI-e 1.1 16x bandwidth.
