Thread Starter
I have been trying this for several weeks. I can't pass 320fsb on Q6600 G0 no matter how I change vcore. My system is

Q6600 G0
Abit ab9 pro
Corsair XMS2 CM2X1024-6400 2x1gb
Windows Server 2003

I saw most people make it to 400fsb easily..
I am new here and also new to OCing..Need help..

Thank you

I read an old review for this board and even with a dual core, they couldnt get it stable at 360 FSB, so more than likely, it is the mobo causing the problem.

Yes, this mobo should go pass 320fsb at least.
Now, I am running Q6600 at 320fsb Vcore 1.325, and Corsair @ 800mhz Vdimm 1.8
This setting is pretty stable cos i ran this system 24/7 for weeks now.

Whenever i go beyond 320fsb without changing any voltages, system becomes unstable.
Should i go for higher vcore? If i want 333fsb or higher, what vcore should i set?

Thanks

um .. how are you keeping this cpu cool ?

Fill out you system information in the User CP to avoid needing to explain your whole system.

It could be your RAM having trouble keeping up, whats it set to?

More than likely the motherboard.

The 965 chipset was made before quad core x86 CPUs even existed.

Have you tried to go straight to 400fsb? My 6600 has some certain fsb's is doesn't run. Just try to skip past 320.

With this RAM he should be able to bring it to 333 FSB as long as it's running at the advertised settings. Make sure you entered all your RAM and CPU voltages manually. If need be, you could up the FSB voltage as well.
