[Hexus] Foxconn Bloodrage X58: the overclockers' dream - Page 3

I guess the pot is a nice feature but I wonder how many boards get fried using it and I wonder if it comes with all the condensation materials because it would be stupid just to give out a pot without all the essentials and the fact KY jelly is cheap
Also you would think they would have a special coated board sealed from the factory for condensation because I'm sure it can be done.

That thin area your speaking about is on a reinforced beam which crosses the board, it's really thick and there is no danger of breaking that thin area between the two mounting holes no matter how tight you make your block. Also, like ESS_Eisenkreuz said, if your worried about board flex, ( i know that wasn't your primary concern) nearly all good HS or waterblocks come with a backplate. It's been reinforced and tested. :-)

I argue that all boards should offer this kind of support... I wonder if there will be an issue with this board being able to support heavier coolers..., the silicon around the the motherboard mounting holes looks pretty thin...
The heatsink mounting pressure is perpendicular to the board and not parallel. It's not like the heatsink screws will be pushing against the space between the mountign points.
Once again...

There 1/2" Barbs?.. Good, well that can go on my loop then. Won't need to but hey, if you have the chance why not take it. You can always go pack to passive if you need too.
