Woot! 11 601 3DMark06

After much tweaking, I'm finally breaking 11k and heading towards 12k on a 15.4" lappy which is pretty amazing I think. Finally a portable laptop that is on par with some desktop gaming computers!

Thanks man, maybe soon on laptop this size we'll reach 15k. However I think I reached the maximum for this laptop so sadly unlike a desktop there isn't much headroom left for overclocking, especially since I can't overclock the CPU and if I used software such as SetFSB, it would also increase my PCI-Express bandwith and therefore maybe render my GPU overclock completely unstable.

You can get it at many places, such as XoticPC, PC Microworks etc... However I changed all components, I just kept the laptop as a barebone and changed hard drive, RAM, CPU, and video card. However the 9800m GT which remains the most powerful GPU that you can put in a 15.4" is now discontinued, so except if you can find a 9800m GT somewhere or take one out of another laptop, you're stuck with the 9800m GTS.

That is great for a lappy but notice below the average. No complaints but I just notice what you did as great falls below? And if the girl in your avatar wants a date? I live in Rogers Park if she is lonely.

Well it falls below average, but remember, it's no 12 pounds, 30 minutes battery life, 17" laptop that sounds louder than a plane! It's all in a modest 15.4" and it can play all my games at 1680*1050 so I couldn't ask for more!

Looks good. But my old 8800GTS320 machine broke the 17k mark Runing 3.6ghz, Hit that a long time ago. But amazing for a laptop
If you would have spent that cash on a Desktop you could be runing a quad core multi-gpu machine. I want a lappy now

That is good! Very good. Is it NP8660? I do like smaller! I went a 14" Asus and yes does not come close but works for me. You have done well grasshopper, snatch the pebble from my hand.

My next notebook might be NP86600.
