How far can I go?

Thread Starter
I was wondering if this seems correct for a 9500AT Zalman with a Q9300

Just built my system tonight, and I'm not sure if those temps are correct, that seems a little high IMO, no?

Also, what's the max temp I should let it get to when OC'ing?

NOTE: my CPU is at stock speed right now, I want to know if those temps are correct or not.

Thanks alot,

Seanster

In all honesty, I would not use speedfan to measure cpu temps. It is very inaccurate. Download realtemp.

They seem OK. However, since you just built the system, the thermal paste needs time to set in. Also, the 9500 Zalman is not really known for its ability to cool quads.

What are the temps under load like?

According to Real Temp, they got to about 53C during a 10 min Prime95 test, I'll leave one going all night tonight, and hopefully OC it tomorrow. But again, can someone tell me a MAXIMUM temp I would be safe at for the Q9300? Thanks.

Left Prime95 on for about 3 hours, temps went up to around 50-55 on all cores, never passed 55 on any core.

Again, what is the MAX temp anyone would suggest for the Q9300 to run at?

Thanks!
Sean

I would give you the Tcase max temp, but everyone says it's pretty useless.
