At this age and time if you can't release a better cooler than the TRUE than you might just not release one at all.

They need to ditch that design, its just not that good anymore and it sucks for Quads.

So True. TR need to bring out a bigger TRUE which fits 140mm fans and has 8 huge thick heatpipes but it needs to have a base like the Zalman's, no need to lap or anything.

That beast would be ~$80. You're damn close to water cooling at that point.

Plus, you could have some problems where it wouldn't fit in some cases...

I'm not paying over 100$ for this cooler. This is just crazy.

I agree. If i was in R&D at Zalman, then I would tell them to take the time and figure something out that will be smaller, weight less (you wouldn't have to have the mobo flat), and perform better than a copper true.

Any company that could say that they beat the Copper would have thousands of people instantly running to them. I wonder if this has that crappy plastic mounting bracket that doesn't fit on the 790i. I had to file down the bracket just to get the hsf to touch the cpu.

Edit: I think that the only clip is used for AM2 mobo's. So at least it looks like it has a decent mount for 775

It has less surface area than the 9700? Also, the plastic thing make it look...unappealing
