Mem overclock necessary?

Thread Starter
Hypothetical question.
If i overclock a PC from 2.66 to 3.6Ghz by increasing FSB frequency and CPU voltage and it runs stable, is it unnecessary to change other parameters such as memory timings/voltages?

It would be very important, because I think you can't get it stable without increasing NB or DRAM voltages and your RAM timings should be fine at stock.

It depends on the cpu and what speed ram you're talking about.

If you're going to overclock your CPU, you might as well put fourth a little more effort to optimize the RAM. Usually it doesn't require much tweaking, especially for a moderate overclock.
