8750 with two cores?

Hey guise

So today I flashed my bios, and pretty much ended up losing a core 0.o, any ideas on how to get it back? One suggestion I've had is to see if its been disabled in the bios, dose anyone have any idea whereabouts in the bios that type of option is kept? Cpu is a AMD 8750 x3 and motherboard is a DFI DK 790F XM2RS

yes, try clearing the CMOS (taking out the battery, or using the "clear CMOS jumper" if your board has one). You also might try flashing the BIOS to the latest version.

One of those should do the trick.

Good luck

Got it fixed. Logan, the problem started when I flashed it to the latest bios! =P. The problem is in the new bios, for some reason it has trouble with detecting the cores, i just flashed it to the 2nd latest, working fine now =)

Go into the bios, and make sure cpu 0 and cpu 1, and cpu 2 are enabled. Should be under the overclocking section.
That's what happened to me when I flashed my bios, only 2 cores were enabled, the other 2 were disabled.

Sweet, im glad that it worked out. Sometimes there are bugs in BIOS's, so its good to know that one works, so you can always go back to it.

Happy Holidays!

EDIT: Great post caraboose +rep
