Is ECS a good brand? My brother had an ECS on his previous P4 and it was really finicky with SATA.

ECS's quality is fine, but most of their boards are bad overclockers. Only their Black Series boards are good.

I'm sure the DDR3 performance will be great, and ECS is really cleaning up their layouts nicely.

But why not a 790FX/SB750 solution. I mean, this is the first DDR3 AMD board, and if they did it right.. they would have used the most powerful chipset they could plunk down on this sucker.

Main gripe aside, the mosfet cooler looks like its going to get the job done with sheer size instead of heatpipes.

Interesting mobo layout.... Is the NB right next to the MOSFETs? Could they squeeze in another expansion slot in the future?

I'm less concerned with motherboard sexosity than motherboard workography.

Still, that heatsink looks like it could cool a nuclear plant...
