What's R2?

Gears 2 looks like crap. Your confusing 'graphics' with 'good textures.' Don't get me wrong, it doesn't look 'crap' per say But the textures are too silky and shiny, it just doesn't look real.

As for Crysis Warhead, well it looks exactly like Crysis and what so good about that? Aren't we meant to improve rather than stay the same.

Also, MGS4 doesn't just have good visual details it also has good character motion and the facial expressions are awesome. Big deal, so if you look at a still picture of the games then Crysis will look better.....how does that determine anything? MGS4 not only consistently looks good, it is immersive. Personally I don't think Crysis is immersive graphically. But then it's all just opinions

I believe cinematics, and the quality they can achieve with more space in FMV's and real time gameplay, would depend on space and fall into the category of graphics.

Edit: He uses the word compress. What else would he be talking about? Both graphics and audio, of course.

Look at what Epic did with GoW2 and their rendering style for the textures. Even though the 360's GPU is slightly more powerful, its not enough for something that powerful - which is why Epic found ways around it. Good development is key, as a game's graphics are not merely dependent the hardware power. (GTA IV is another good example, the console versions are nearly identical).
