Installing new memory

Thread Starter
I'm installing my new ocz 4 gb 1066 Mhz reapers to replace the old crucial 2 gb 677 Mhz ram I've been using. I am not overclocking right now (I'm waiting until I start using the antec 900) and I just want the ram to run as fast as it can w/o ocing and with it being stable. Can I just switch out the old ram, put in the new ram, reset the mobo with the battery, and then go back to work, or do I need to change the voltage and all that jazz? I looked at the bios screens and none had the option for messing with voltage. Any help would be appreciated and + repped.

You should be fine when you reset the mobo. In auto mode, the mobo should revert to the SPD settings in the RAM (1.8v 5-5-5-18 etc...).

When using new memory, you'll need to reset your CMOS... your new memory will run at stock speeds, with everything on auto, so you'll have to redo all your overclocks and voltages
