There really not a chance that the 4870X2 will beat the GTX295 in Crysis...

Its an nvidia coded game ffs......

All ATI cards fall down to Nvidia cards in this game.

Yeah, that's the whole thing right there, most of those games tested were nVidia sponsored, you'll never get fair results that way, since the game already has been coded the nVidia way.

That's pretty much the only thing that sucks from ATI's side, they don't sponsor games anymore.
Preferred I would call a stop to any kind of sponsorring, but that same sponsor ship is what keeps nVidia going, all the nVidia fanboys, keep hammering on the fact that Crysis runs best on nVidia.

No ****, Sherlock, it's sponsored.

Let's also turn it the other way around, you're comparing a new unreleased card to one that's already on the market for some time now.

nVidia, would've been indefinitely stupid if they released a card that was under performing the 4870x2, don't forget nVidia had more time developing.

It's great to hear all the nVidia people keep bashing the ATI front; "We have premium drivers!"
And now: "The drivers aren't ready yet, they aren't completed"

Yes and I'm sure when they are, they'll make 100% extra boost in performance.
However this turns out, I don't care about the frames, I vote for smooth-ness.

Hopefully by seeing its top card get smacked around a little ATI will release some miracle drivers of their own.

Well if the GTX295 beats a 4870x2 then so be it. But then I want a price cut on the 4870x2 and then the GTX295. Also I want AMD to release some more improved drivers and nvidia too.

I want see competition on both sides.

I personally don't care which card is better b/c both cards are great. But I do care the tension of the competition. Let the dual compete and my next rig will be a beast.

CHEER....

You actually beleive the 295 is better the 295 with better drivers will no way match the 4870x2. By then ATI will have released new drivers which will kill the 295 even more. nVidia have never been good at releasing better drivers. 4870x2 are faster and cheaper. I am not being biased as I am a nVidia fan

The HD4870x2 is only faster at 2560x1600 with more AA and AF than people thought could exist back during the P4 line. It also depends on the game; ie: Saying that Dead Space supports CF is like saying people live on the moon.

Anything lower than 2560x1600, with AA/AF, it's a toss up depending on the game. Lower than 2560x1600 with NO AA/AF, the 295 will probably win the majority of the games.
