Windows Live Messenger 2009 Error Code: 8100030d

Thread Starter
Hi, I recently upgraded from windows live messenger beta to windows live messenger 2009 version. When I did this. I tried to sign in to messenger and I get the error code 8100030d. I was going to try re-installing messenger but in the control panel, windows live messenger isn't on the programmes list for uninstall a programme and there isn't an uninstaller file in the programme files folder.

I am using 64-bit Windows Vista Ultimate.

Thanks!

I had the same problem after installing the latest version of Windows Live Messenger.

I am running XP and also using AVG.

I tried every suggested fix I could find on the net yesterday, but nothing worked.

Then I just tried to take a look at the Web Shield in AVG. Instant Messaging Settings, Instant messaging protection and disabled MSN protection. It worked!!!! Now I can log in to WLM again

I had the same problem after installing the latest version of WLM, i'm running XP and use AVG to.I tried every suggested fix, but nothing worked for me to. The solution for me was to the Web Shield in AVG. Instant Messaging Settings, Instant messaging protection, disable MSN protection, and finally my WLM worked good.

Thank YOU for the suggestion, good job man!!!
