Overclocking AMD W/ E-Maching T3085???

Hi,

In my one computer that was an ASUS Board with a pentium 3 processor there was a jumper that had 3 pins...1 & 2 was hardware control and 2 & 3 was bios control
....this was for the processor speeds & mutiplier stuff....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got and E-Machine with an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ MHz Processor in it and 2 Gb or ram within it....
...this processor runs at a maximum of 40'c with me running different stress testors for about an hour.....

The Motherboard has these writings on it (Not sure which ones are its type of board identity numbers...)
****D33007
and thats it for what i see in the board....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If anybody could help me out with overclocking info of any kind for this board I will appreciate it!!!!!!
******My minds made up i will overclock this thing one way or another...!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also - What is the maximun temprature that i can let this CPU run at before I start to fry this cookie......

Thank you all Very much for your help & time in advance,

zBuster

the max temp is 80 you should try to overclock it from the bios try to raise the freq and also the voltage to the cpu if it has the option if it doesn't have these options you can to it with a jumper on the motherboard you tell me the specs of the jumper 1-2 2-3 or 2-3-3-4 something like or you mobo manual will say if you can oc this cpu on that mobo

emachines do not have overclocking options, and cannot be overclocked, the motherboards in them are so generic, they barely hold them selves together at stock

they can be overclocked

where would I find the info about the jumpers on the board...?

The bios has the options to do the overclock stuff but those selections are greyed out......

On my other computer all i had to do was move a jumper pin from 1-2 to 2-3 to unlock the bios to allow an overclock....

Where on this E-Machine would be the correct jumper to do this....
There are about 8-9 jumpers on this board and they all do something what...i need help finding out...

If anybody can find the spec manual or something that explains each component AND MOST OF ALL HAS PICTURE DIAGRAMS THAT SHOWS THE STUFF AND WHAT IT DOES on the main board i would be greatful.....

Thats mainly what I am after - with that i can unlock the bios to do my overclocking stuff.....

Thankz,

zBuster

Emachines are not as crappy as people think. I had a T5224 and I managed to overclock my e4400 to 2.6 from 2.0

To the op, look around and see if it is possible but clockgen is probably your best bet.

That, my friend, is underclocking!
