Random LOUD Buzzing Sound in my Headphones

Thread Starter
Yesterday, a really loud buzzing noise sounded in my headphones for a few seconds (I yanked the cord out...didn't wanna damage them :/) and it happened again today. Could this be due to my sound card overheating? I don't know how to cool it down; would moving it up a PCI slot help? It's currently at the bottom. Would moving it affect my graphics card temp much?

Was your cell phone nearby? That can cause interference. My speakers do it randomly since we are close to a cell tower, all my neighbors have the same problem.

My cell phone is always either in my pocket or on the desk; I've never had a problem with it (other than sometimes that intermittent beeping from interference, but that is quiet)

I didn't understand that, sorry. :/
I touched my sound card HS and it's really hot, almost burning.
