My New System.. XP or Vista? - Page 3

Not to sound like an ass, but got a more then a few friends in the military, and even surprisingly to me, they use Quadro's =P And, why not just TRY vista (non legitly), and see how you like it. If you do, there is quite a few threads selling copies on the FS section

EDIT: I use Ultimate 64 bit and i personally like Vista > XP, but nothing wrong with dual boot ^.^

Totally go with Vista x64!!! I wish I had it, but I didn't have the money when I built my rig, so to save I just used my old Xp. Vista is really nice, and in order to support 4gb+ of ram, you need a 64bit OS. When I get the money I am going to definitely upgrade!

And most corporate climates have made this same decision as well.

Of course, if someone were to give me a free legit copy of Vista, I'll run it. I want to experience it and form my own judgments accordingly. But I simply will not buy it. Not at its ridiculous price.
I agree. I am still happily using XP, and I dont think that I will upgrade to a new OS until windows 7 has been out for a while. Because honestly, vista doesn't seem to be able to do anything that XP cant (except Direct X 10, and thats not that important to me right now).

Plus, OS's are pretty pricey, and I cant afford to get a new one every time they come out... so I just stick with the one that I have, until something spectacular comes out.

to the OP, I think that since you're rig will handle it, I would go with vista 64, because that will be the most future proof.

Good luck

Lmao at the quoting, so I'm famous now? XD

Just go with Vista, which is really a Windows 7 Beta, and then Windows 7 in like six months.

It's true though. FSX on max settings is more demanding than Crysis

Vista if you want it to use up 2 GB of your 4 GB of ram.
