bsel mod Stopped working???

This Has happend before But the first I need to reseat the hs So i took it off cleaned th HS and cpu (still in the socket) I figured i most have moved it loss. So i take all a part and re did.

The secound time (Today) I went to panara bread for like 15 min I left the computer on (it was making a dvd), anyways i walk in the door to find my computer off, so i turn it on and after an long post it reset to the stock stock speed.

I used Aliuim. Foil and a little glue paste to preform this mod. Now that first time i took it off the foil was not burn or anything and still attached, now this time around i do know yet cause i have yet to take it apart.

WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Do you think bios is doing this ???

is the glue killing the connection, i didn't use a lot could not even see it.

Just break down and buy the soilder pin.

One more question does the besel mod have to connect on the cpu or would it still work on the socket ??

If this were true would it still work cause the foil is still providing the connection

I would get the copper tape (used for repairing damaged circuit traces) and use it instead I have never had a problem with it. PM me your address and I'll mail you some.

*This is the 333 BSEL mod*

You shouldn't of used the glue.

If you have a Radioshack, go buy a Circuit Writer Pen. It's like $8 dollars, and it will work fine.

Clean the chip off with rubbing alcohol and make sure all the glue is removed. Boot the chip without the mod, and make sure it works properly. Revert to stock, OC a little, and make sure it's still holding a stable clock.

Then continue with the Mod.

Don't use glue next time, that's definitely not a good thing to do.

And I told you it wasn't stable, lol.

You seemed to have wanted to have a super high clock to brag about instead of going with stability. Just redo the mod a proper way and it'll be fine.

And yes it has to connect to the CPU. You're connecting to BSELs together. It won't work without doing so.

I was using about a 52% OC

You were doing exactly 100% OC

And it Was Stable, Stable as a non Crazy person

However The Foil Was Not.

I have found the problems The Foil Expaned And was not allowing an proper connection

Youre Right on With that copper tape It does not expand Tin would have ben better However its low melting point Would Really worry me

Yeah man, I had the exact same board, was told on here by a few people that the ICH7 limits the PCI-E voltage and won't let it be locked, which causes the OC to become unstable since the more you overclock, the more the PCI-E rises because it's linked together, so say you overclocked to like 3.5, and your PCI-E would keep rising, and eventually it's going to become unstable.

It makes sense but I don't know if I can explain it properly.

But I hope you get yours sorted. The reason mines higher is because I took my time and made sure it was stable and got to max. You just kept going haha, but you said it was stable so whatever! It worked, but now just get a different method.

Let me know what you do, I'm dying to know when you get it stable and fixed.

3.5???

I never went that high

I said 3.30ghz Was My max it was using 1.45 vcore it ran 30 min into Prime95 before core 1 died

Becuase I do not fell Comftable Giving My cpu More than 1.45 And nor do i want the heat occupies it It would be around 70c load and 40c Idle That way to much for
I tried this once for 1 day

I settled at 3.15 (and will continue once I get that Circuit pen in the moring so check back aroun 1:00pm Central time)

This was Stable For 2 Weeks Minus the two times That foil messed up

Here are some oc specs

FSB: 315
PCI auto
Ram 2.50 ratio I thinks Its 788 litle less then 800 for a fact

RAM:+0.2
FSB: +0.3
FSB DEOver -.10
Vcore 1.45 it Dips to to 1.40 in windows way into the teset5 hour i think It it 1.38 3 times For bout half a secound in the 30min i wa staring at it I was using OOCPT

If you need more specs I will to restart in go to bios just ask what thought

Does Ide Slow your sistem down when using sata????

I hooked my ide drive and seem a little little faster when acessing my computer and drives

I Think I know what you mean, you can not lock it, But if did not do the BESEl Mod, The PCI Speed would be higher than if, i had not did it. Right ?

What I assuming is that When I do the besel mod and make the cpu fsb higher (1066) Only the cpu was clocked higer I.E. The Pci,Ram(Which it was) Was not and still a stock speeds before i did any ocing.

When i did the bese mod My cpu speed was 2.66 before any Overclocking.
