Best TV for parents $500 usd budget - Page 2

Vizios are pretty good for their price. The only catch is that they didn't pay some royalties and recently got sued for it so no telling how long they'll be around or producing cheap TVs.

And Toshiba is a pretty good TV brand.

Honestly, I'd stay away from Best Buys Dynex brand TV's. The quality of all the ones I have seen is far from being good. My friend bought one because he was really eager to buy a television and could not wait. Needless to say, even with his HD satellite hooked up, it doesn't look too great.

Toshiba makes pretty good, reliable televisions. Another friend of mine has one of their giant DLP TV's and it looks fantastic. As for Vizio, they definitely are not one of the more prominent brands, but they do make good televisions, and are great if you're look for a relatively inexpensive set that still has a quality picture.

i'm going to steer clear of dynex, they name doesn't exactly instill confidence, and their cabinet holds a 37" tv max

so if everyone agrees that vizio is a good brand and toshiba is good, and i know sharp is good, im going to go to bestbuy and buy which ever one is cheapest

thanks all, i think i repped everyone who gave input
