Is the monitor HDCP compliant? I think that the 360 requires it.

The one we bought is really messed up. The VGA connector can be plugged in upside down, and will not work, but once it is turned right side up it will work.

Normally on a VGA cable you can't plug them in upside down because of the trapezoid shape, but with counterfeit ebay junk you can do this.

This is why you use HDMI. Be nice to have the RCA plugs though.

Well i solved the issue...the cable I had was just shoddy. My mate actually has the same cable and his worked but was a loose connection. In other words they where crap. So I went and bought the MS official cable and it works like a charm. Basically just stick to official merchandise and you cant go too wrong.

I think it might be your monitor either the monitor has an issue or it is just not capable of running at a resolution for your xbox
