Need Build Advice/Answers Please

Thread Starter
Just found this site a few days ago and love it. I am really looking forward to starting my first overclocking adventure with the CPU I'm about to build. I tried to take suggestions on some threads to get ideas for my build, and here is the setup I came up with.

I intend to crossfire soon when i buy another video card, so the one thing i really am not sure about is the amount of watts needed in my PSU, so i bought one with high watts as seen above. I want to run my CPU overclocked to 3.2 GHz with the Q6600.

Do you think this setup will allow me to get to 3.2GHz easily?

Does everything look OK to you all or does anyone have any suggestions on things I might want to change?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

You should have no problem getting 3.2GHz with that setup. If you can swing it, I would recommend the Q9550 E0 instead. Also, I would look at the Corsair 750W PSU instead.

Thanks for the vine on that PSU, that's a much better option i think. Do you think that 750watt PSU will be able to handle Crossfire and OCing to 3.2GHz?

Yes it can. I've built many systems with that Corsair 750W PSU in a crossfire setup.

Ok cool, one thing i was concerned with about the Corsair PSU you linked to was that it isn't modular. Do you think it is still a better option than this?

I think with you having the antec 1200, It isnt gonna make a real difference if its modular or not, as there is TONS or room to hide cables in that case, the cable management is nice. Corsair is one of the top couple PSUs right now, It would be very smart to get that one, or If you want another option this one is good too. 69.99 after rebate and its one of the best brands.

Also here is a better price on that corsair.
