Because this one is water cooled and I even adapted the whole case to fit in perfectly ... don't really plan on doing that again ... and I hope to get a nice price for it as it is ...

I would get a 920 and a Gigabyte X58 Extreme, got one its superb!
Maybe get a GTX280... What resolution is your 20"?
Id go for 6gb of RAM not 3.

You can now only put SLI on x58 not any intel chipset.

For a high end i7 build check my BubblelessI7 Build log.

it has a 1680 x 1050 resolution (so the same resolution as most 22" TFT's have)

About 1k to 1.2k EURO for this, will still need HDD's, DVD, case, power supply ... in addition but that will be equal for whatever solution I choose (except maybe for the power supply)

Im hitting the sack aswell.

I would say get a I7, GTX280, 6GB of good RAM and a pair of HDD's for RAID.
