Question about clock ratio - I am not sure how great my ram really is... so I should keep my ratio at 9x right? The lower you change the ratio... the faster it overclocks the ram right?

what is your FSB right now and what is your ram ratio set to?

Clock Ratio question - you would set your clock ratio lower than 9x which is the highest I can go, so that you could oc your ram more right? I should leave my 9x setting correct?

Currently I only have 4gb of mem in my rig, but I will be putting another 4gb in it, how might this effect what I am doing? Thanks!

use 9x right now. you don't need to fiddle around with that. there's a separate setting for clock speed. that is just for the processor speed..

clock ratio x FSB = cpu speed

Once I find my target OC can I turn the speed stepping back on? or will that mess anything up?

I am about 10 min from this hour long test being finished... so I will step up again in a min... i am at 3.0 should I go slow like 3.1 or just try for 3.4?

I was just trying to figure out why you would take the 9x to 8x... what does it gain you? faster ram speed?

sorry man... I missed that whole rep thing.... but im good now.. will answer all your questions

fsb 330 - ram ratio i guess 4:5 (but I am not sure I would know how to chage it...it.. its what cpu-z says) I just kept the ram as low as possible when I was in the bios
its at 412.5 now
