i7 + eVGA 280GTX - HELP!1one

Thread Starter
I currently have a 850w OCZ GameXstreme powersupply, and was curious as too if I:

Upgrade to X58 eVGA
Upgrade to i7 Intel 2.66Ghz
Upgrade to eVGA 280 GTX SSC

Is this this enough power for me?

----
I'm interested in taking the Modular power supply route. If there is a need for an upgrade, what's a good blue led power supply to get.

HelP!

Please and thanks.

WAY more than enough
yeah you might even be able to get 2x280s on the psu
post #5 of 11
850w should be more then enough for all that. SLI wouldn't be recommended. Even a really high quality 750w would be enough. And modular PSU? I would say any of the high wattage ABS power supplies arn't bad at all

Modular is overrated. Only good if your case does not have holes for cable management.

I would avoid any PSU with blue LED lights ... get something functional.
