***Please help! headphone with laptop problem.***

Thread Starter
Ok so i got myself a new laptop with vista.

I was using it in the living room and listening to my music while surfing the web, Mum says, "turn the crap off" so i went and got my headphones, plugged them in and play my music and it still plays through the laptop speakers and not the headphones. So i did a test in the sound options with the headphones and it makes the little "test" sound, but won't play music from winamp or windows media player.

Please help!!

Thanks in advance

Are you sure you have the headphone plug pushed in all the way?

1.reinstall drivers
2.check bios?

if not, your mini jack in is busted :[ send that to warranty repair!
