trying to stabilize core i7 4ghz

Thread Starter
so I got my water setup today I need to edit my sig anyways I love water now temps are way better than my TRUE. To the matter at hand I can get into windows at base clock of 200x20 with a vcore of 1.35 in bios 1.312 in cpuz, qpi vcore of 1.35 and, cpu pll of 1.94. As soon as I put prime 95 on it blue screens. temps are good idle at low 30's and load at 52c tops. Any help will be appreciated.

also are those voltages dangerous? If I ran those volts would my pc last 2-3 years?

1.35 volts are actually pretty low for a 4.0ghz overclock, im willing to bit that 1.4volts would get you stable

My mate has been battling to stabilize his 920 at 4Ghz for 3 /4 weeks. I dont think he managed to. I know he gets 3.8 Stable. His rig is watercooled and temps are'nt the issue, it just fails on orthos after an hour or two. 3.8Ghz is rock solid and blistering fast..

Try to increase uncore/qpi voltage alone with vtt a little and see where you get. You can also try a little more vcore and still be safe, I think these chips are rated to 1.375 so you have a nice bit of room. Also you can try disabling HT and see if you become stable, since HT needs a lot more voltage at the same clock and only has minor gains.
