In college you are allowed to bring laptops in, and the friends that I know in college all say they play Counter-Strike 1.6 during lectures. Maybe the purpose of this is to give the children less rules early on, so that they don't flunk of out college because of the distractions of technology. They may start getting bad grades in high school, but it is better to get your reality check in high school rather than college. They need to learn to work with technology instead of goof of with it if they want a future in this world that gets more technologically advanced every second.

and by the way, please use the edit button. I hate people who double post.
I didn't use the edit button because I was responding to two different posts, but maybe you didn't pay attention to that before you let us know how much you hate double posting. Completely different subject matter in each.

Nothing. I was just making light of the juxtaposition of those two statements in that post. No harm meant, the economy sucks right now as we all know.

Yeah, because you need to make a new post whenever you change your subject. Next you'll tell me there is no such thing as multi-quote?

Sure, at first glance, you see "more smarter" and automatically assume it is the pinnacle of irony. But take another look- only this time start AFTER where it says more-

Kids are dumb these days. Teaching may have been less fun in the past, but we certainly got more smarter and harder working individuals because of it.

The more is referring to the INDIVIDUALS, which are described as "smarter and harder working".

Soooo actually look at what you're attempting to satire, next time...
Ha. Actually the error here is that he is being redundant. "More" is a completely unnecessary word.

But yeah...

As someone in the Australian school system, they need to stop holding back the smart kids for the idiots, my I.T course started off with "Turning on and off a computer correctally" and ended up with converting files to different types and using Winzip.
