You guys are all thinking inside the box. What about temp reading lcd screens hidden behind motorized doors on the front of the case? What about a custom built, hidden/tucked away water cooling system that is partially hidden, kind of like wire tucking?

Just some ideas, and sure, throw in the best Core i7/12gb ram/4870x2 with super cooling combination you can find.

you guys need to put some totals on the rigs, lol

i guess skulltrail is a little out of the question here at the beginning of 2009 but....

CASE: Cooler Master CX-830RDFM-01-GP ($600)
MOBO: ASUS Rampage II Extreme x58 ($400)
CPU: Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition 965 ($1029)
RAM: OCZ Reaper HPC 12GB (6 x 2GB) 1866 ($620)
HDD: 4x OCZSSD2-2C250G 2.5" 250GB RAID0 ($3260)
Raid: LSI 320X2128-F ($600)
GPU: 2x Diamond 4870x2 XOC ($1080)
PSU: PC Power & Cooling PPCT1200ESA ($529.22)
Sound : AuzenTech Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1 ($179.99)
Disc Drive: 2x Sony BWU300S BluRay Burner ($800)
OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64-bit for System Builders ($179.99)

and watercooling is a must for this price so im thinking a $1000 should cover the 3 blocks, the huge rad +fans, the pump, res, tubing, fluid, dye and silver coils.

For a grand total of $9678.21 + taxes and shipping (and the terrible canadian conversion for me)

if you want to add 2x samsung 30" xl-30 LED LCD's, add $5600 for over $15000

I know that a Apple Mac Pro does not really count here but, it's still a "Rig".

I just configured one with every option that Apple offers and it came out to $27,188.90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek :
