Is this a good purchase or should money be spent else where?

Do you have a link to the exact card you're buying?

Here's a better deal if you don't mind mail in rebates.

Zotac OC 9800GT, $92 after MIR

Ya but his is an eVGA, I would personally buy it as it is a pretty good deal as long as it is brand new

I would say go for it. Not bad for $100.
What you really need to upgrade next, is the processor though

Oh didn't realize the card was in the thread title.

The EVGA is OCed too (650mhz, Zotac - 660mhz), they should perform nearly the same. Zotac and EVGA both have lifetime warranties, but I am not too sure about Zotac's customer service.

Not a bad deal. You may be able to find one cheaper here on the OCN, though it might be a 8800 which is the same thing basically. Not a bad buy.

I should have posted it was out of EVGA's refurb store.. I really appreciate, as I was cruising around I found a 4670 open box at the egg for 58 bucks so I got that instead... I know this is nvidia thread and all but hey a good deal is a good deal.

Again thank you all. You guys are why I joined this site. Someone is always willing to help me and so one day I will be experienced enough to help too hopefully.

Merry Christmass all.
