help for Overclocking Safe and Successfuly

Thread Starter
Hello, im new here nice place to rest
I'm trying to overclock my cpu safe and successfuly
i read the article how to overclock, but i know the basics

My Rig

Windows Vista x64 Ultimate
AMD ATHLON 64 X2 5600+ 2.90GZ AM2 BOX
KINGSTON KVR800D2N5/2G 2x2gb PC6400 800MHZ VALUE RAM Dual Channel No Passive Cooling here
GIGABYTE GA-MA770-DS3 REV2.0
GIGABYTE RADEON HD4670 GV-R467D3-512I 512MB PCI-E
ASUS ATLAS A-45GA 450WATT

i have correctly update my bios to FBc which is the latest =)
i have correctly overclock my gpu piece of cake, is GPU having bios cuz in gigabyte site have bios for
this Card and i was wondering if i can update (first time i heard that anyway)

now with CPU i correctly overclock:

- lowing the HT multi to 4x (800MHz)
- lowing the RAM speed to DDR667
- locking the PCI-e at 100MHz
- disabling Cool 'n Quiet
- do i need anything else to disable tho?

Here some screens to watch EasyTune6 (i didnt touch anything for overclock in this program!)

How much can i get the FSB tho?
right now i have it on 217
i dont wanna mess with voltages=more temp no need that
just i want a decent overclock cpu
with 230 rebooting when was entering the os

thanks in advance and thanks to listen to the newbie
i hope you can understand my english as it is not my first language
HAIL from Greeks

Merry XMAS btw ^^

the fsb you can reach is the maximum fsb that supports your mobo...i think you can reach maybe 400 or 500 max with overvoltage you can do a decente overclock but i think your mobo it's a little botleneck cause your cpu hass 800 fsb but your mobo suports only 200 you don't need to disable nothing i'm with intel but i had a long time ago amd and i think this will help you can overvoltage your cpu with no problems you won't damage your cpu if you have a very good cooling fan...

without overvoltage the amd simply won't go......try a little overvltage or buy a cooling fan that keeps your cpu cool
